When Jugyeong comes, mom is ready to snap, but controls herself. But her mom and her homeroom teacher still manage to get out in peace. Next day at school, students get their grades and Jugyeong’s are… pretty bad. Suho tells him not to, because he doesn’t want to be known as his son. Anyways, big star father wants to attend the teacher conference. Like, I’m glad my father isn’t anything close to that. On his way home, Suho bumps into his father. Jugyeong is not the only one thinking back on that. And not just because Eun Woo isn’t exactly the best actor. Then they go their own way, because Jugyeong still thinks of what he said earlier. Anyways, it’s a false alarm, everyone goes back down and Suho keeps protecting Jugyeong cause people are pushing pretty bad. But… WHY THE ROOFTOP? If there’s a fire you should get out and away of the building, not going higher up, if the building collapses because of the fire, you’re dead. Right then, the fire alarm is ringing and people are coming to the rooftop because there’s a fire. Jugyeong does her best to comfort Suho and he now knows she remembered that day too. But it’s just been one day since school started so… yeah… let’s not get too happy too soon. I must I’m quite proud of myself for being on top of game. Mob characters represent the show’s world, so I spent a lot of time on mob characters and I want anime shows to draw them more carefully from now on.So it’s a little late and I am a little tired, but I figured I could treat myself with another episode after doing some really boring homework. And they would be drawn without a lot of attention, so they’re not likable. S: Usually when you’re watching anime, there isn’t a whole lot of love given to the background mobs. S: It took a while for Ryuuko and Satsuki to get completed, so I drew mob characters first. It’s little things like these that make me love Kill la Kill so, so much more and I thank the anon on /a/ for translating this! or that he only truly mastered drawing Satsuki after the close-up of her face when she welcomed Ryuko back in the KlK finale. he confirmed that Mako keeps the sushiobunnies inside her body (for those wondering why you often see bunnies around her D) he couldn’t draw Ryuko, Satsuki and Mako at first (and you can totally see that because Satsuki and Ryuko look so weird in many shots in the first episode), it took Sushio a year and a half to finish Ryuko’s design (no kidding, 80% of “The Art of KLK” are Ryuko designs), The interview is very informative, you should all read this! I knew my drawings aren’t “cute”, so I thought me doing the designs won’t go well.“ <- says the one who draws the cutest things, seriously every piece of art Sushio tweets is overwhelmingly cute! With the breaks added, it only felt like four hours. Character designs took a while to get through but the actual meeting was very fun. S: We took a few breaks in-between while talking about random things. I heard that character designs were decided at weekly meetings, starting from 5 in the afternoon and going non-stop until very late at night. I knew my drawings aren’t “cute”, so I thought me doing the designs won’t go well. I was like “alright then”, and then it turns out the main character is a girl: “b-but I’m not good at drawing bishoujo!” Try as I might, I just couldn’t do it. S: I first heard it was like “Crows”, so I thought it was right up my alley. Q: How did you feel when Imaishi first approached you for character designs? The Characters were born from Design Teams The three years of Heaven and Hell while working on Kill la KillĪnimator, Mechanic Sakuga Director for “Aim for the Top 2!”, PSG animation director, concept artist for outfits in Momoiro Clover Z’s “Z Girl War” A helpful user on /a/ ( Nui a shit !IXrB4yzW5g) translated an interview with Sushio, the chief animation director/a character designer on Kill la Kill. The Kill la Kill official guidebook Kamui Bansho was released.
